Upcoming Event – Protecting Mental Health in a Hectic World

Author Julie K. HershJoin Adolescent Counseling Services tomorrow, Friday, April 1, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. for a discussion with Julie K. Hersh, author of the book Struck by Living: From Depression to Hope.  Recently awarded the Mental Health America Ruth Altschuler Community Advocate Prism Award and selected as one of the 2010 Distinguished Women by Northwood University, Julie Hersh is an outspoken advocate for mental health.

Julie’s book, Struck by Living will be for sale at the event.  She will also be available to sign copies of her book following the discussion.  In Struck by Living, Julie takes the reader through the depression war zone, providing hope for both survivors of suicide and those who suffer from mental illness.

Today, Julie manages her disease of depression by protecting her Struck by Living Top 6.  By being a living example, Julie encourages others to develop their own formula for mental health.
